An Extremely Un-get-atable Place is a lyrical reimagining of the time that George Orwell lived at Barnhill, the remote farmhouse on the Isle of Jura where he wrote Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Interspersed with texts from Orwell’s letters and diaries, the tea-toned photographs ‘convey the mood… of desire and hope’ that inspired the write to leave London and set up home in the Hebrides, as Richard Blair (Orwell’s son) writes in the foreword.
After the success of the kickstarter campaign, please email me if interested in print sales along with the book.
